Where we deliver We deliver to addresses in Ireland only. All prices on this site are in euros. What delivery costs Delivery is free on orders of €100 or more. Below that, a flat €30.00 delivery charge applies. The charge is shown in your basket before you pay. Every order is sent with tracking. Express Delivery is available as a €30 paid upgrade at every order value. No separate faster arrival estimate is published, so contact us before ordering if a particular date matters. How long it takes We handle and pack orders within 24 to 48 hours. Delivery then takes 5 to 7 days, so allow about a week from placing your order to it arriving. Delivery time can vary by location. Tracking You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped. We do not have a tracking number before the parcel is collected, so it cannot be sent any earlier. Once you have your tracking number, you can follow your parcel on our order tracking page. Separate packages For practical reasons, items in the same order may be sent in separate packages and may arrive on different days. If part of your order has arrived and you are unsure about the rest, email us and we will check it for you. If you are not happy with your purchase, we are here to help. This page explains how returns, refunds and cancellations work when you buy from Modern Light Company. Your rights under the law come first For most goods bought online, the Consumer Rights Act 2022 gives you 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you are cancelling. You then have a further 14 days to return them. Statutory exceptions can apply, including certain personalised goods and sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons. Changing your mind You do not need to give a reason when you use the statutory online cancellation right. Tell us in writing within 14 days after delivery. A change-of-mind return covers reasons like these: You changed your mind. You found a better price. The item does not fit your space. You no longer need it. You ordered the wrong item. What we need for a change-of-mind return You contact us within 14 days of delivery and return the item within the following 14 days. The item is unused and in its original packaging. You have the receipt, order confirmation or other proof of purchase from this website. We cannot accept returns of items bought from other retailers. A change-of-mind return that does not meet these conditions will not be accepted. None of this affects your rights when an item is faulty, damaged or not as described. Postage and refunds on a change of mind You pay the return postage. Please use a tracked shipping service and send the item back to the warehouse your order was sent from. We will give you the address. You can choose an exchange or a refund. Where the statutory cancellation right applies, the refund includes the basic outbound delivery cost; any supplement for express delivery is not refunded. We may deduct for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is needed to inspect the goods. Faulty or damaged items If an item arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or with parts missing, please tell us straight away. We will put it right at no cost to you, with a repair, a replacement or a refund as the law requires. We pay the return postage. We may ask for your order number and photos of the item and its packaging. Photos help us sort things out quickly and take the matter up with the courier. Wrong item sent If you receive something different from what you ordered, please tell us straight away. We will send the right item or give you a refund, and we pay the cost of returning the wrong one. Order not received If your order does not arrive, please tell us straight away. We will look into it with the courier and send a replacement or give you a full refund, including any delivery charge you paid. For a change-of-mind return, send us the tracking details once the parcel is on its way. Refunds We refund without undue delay and within the period required by law. Solar and plug-in products can be set up by you. Please follow the instructions that come with them. Before you buy and before installation, please check the voltage and other specifications on the product page. If anything is unclear, ask us first. Pricing All prices are in euros. We work to make sure prices are correct when they are published.
